Manchester Headshot and Portrait Photographer

Working on Analogue Film and Digital

Headshots and portraits for creatives and actors in Manchester and beyond.

Whether you’re a professional wanting a striking business headshot or a creative wanting something a little deeper and more collaborative, I take the time to learn what you need and want to get from our time together, a true collaboration between sitter and photographer to make something that feels like you. Working in digital and analogue film up to 8x10, combining modern with the timeless

Hi, I’m Gareth.

A photographer with a passion to create beautiful imagery and tell your story in a way that feels natural and authentic.

We live in a digital world but my heart is very much analogue. That’s why I use my years of knowledge to create something that will last a lifetime using a combination of traditional film in sizes up to 8x10 (the camera you can see in the photo), as well as the latest digital equipment to give you something that will elevate your portfolio or brand in a way that feels authentically, naturally, you.

The Process

  1. The Consultation

We have a short video call to discuss what you want to get from our time together, to make sure we’re aligned and to make sure our time together is as productive as possible and aligns with you and your needs.

2. The Shoot

This is where the magic happens. We work together to create your images without rushing and with your comfort in mind. We chat and shoot and truly collaborate to get the very best from your session

3. Image Review

We review together, either on the day or virtually over a video call to select your final images for delivery that I then edit and deliver via your personal online gallery.

Kind Words

  • Portrait of a woman with curly red hair in a black top, resting her chin on her hand, against a dark background.

"Gareth was fantastic in the studio, the ultimate professional and instantly put me at ease. It's clear that he really knows his stuff, and his passion for photography and portraiture is evident. The portrait session really felt like a collaboration and the result was some gorgeous headshots that I'm really happy with - thank you Gareth!"

    Tasha

  • A woman with shoulder-length brown hair, blue eyes, and hoop earrings, smiling and standing indoors with hands clasped. She is wearing a blue denim jacket over a white top.

“Gareth is a fantastic photographer, he put me at ease throughout the whole shoot and knew exactly what type of images I wanted to capture. He was able to direct me and help me find the best poses- the day felt relaxed, professional and really enjoyable. I’m delighted with the photos I received, the quality of light and atmosphere is just beautiful.”

“Gareth has shot my family and my business headshots for many years and we’ve always absolutely loved the images! His attention to details, technical skills and passion are evident in everything he does and I’m a massive fan of his work! We’ve worked together at weddings and he’s a true pro, get him booked!”

    Kate McCarthy

  • A young woman with short blonde hair sitting on a concrete bench outdoors, wearing a black leather jacket, black top, light blue jeans, and black sneakers.

"Gareth took portraits for me in Liverpool. I really liked his work. We shot at some architectural spots and a cafe, all very relaxed and the right sort of places to represent me. Gareth was so kind and interesting and made me feel comfortable even though I'm usually behind the lens too and not used to being photographed myself!”
